~* About This Blog*~

This Blog was created by me and for me. I dont take suggestions and I dont really care what you have to say in regards to content or design of this Blog. As far as individual posts go, I would love to hear your opinions in the comment section (especially if your opinion is radically different then mine). I try to post often, but sometimes a week will go by where I am to busy to post anything.

  Mike Gordon Encounter

My friend Eli and the St. Louis crew Stayed in Vermont for a few days after the festival and visited Burlington. They stopped at Nectars where they ran into Mike Gordon, Phish's Bassist. Here is a picture of My friend Eli with his arm around the cactus.

Comments:
A few comments on Coventry:

Though I wasn't there, the reports I heard back from my friends that were was that the playing was terrible. Granted, the energy level was probably incredible, and I'm sure the scene was amazing, but that is not reason enough to justify all the time, money, and sleep deprivation used up on the trip. Had I been there I'm pretty sure I would have left really pissed off. I mean, no Mango, Camel Walk, Tela, Sloth, Forbin's, or even a Fluffhead? And there wasn't even any type of late-night jam session (i.e. Ambient jam)!

I am the first to admit that I am jaded when it comes to Phish's music, but I am really disappointed at the ay they (especially Trey from what I've been readng) ended their careers.

Let me say that going to Coventry, I was not at all expecting to see the show of my life. I didnt think it would be a very musically enlightening show. As far as them playing terribaly....Not at all. I will admit that Trey was way off (except for when they were jamming). The rest of the band was firing away.
The show was a collection of emotional highs and lows that I wouldnt trade for any other experience.

Despite a constant series of planning disasters, the show was an incredible time that I was grateful to be a part of.
